About Alyssa
Hello! My name is Alyssa Lane, and I am a sophomore at Mount St. Mary's University studying Cybersecurity while competing as a Division I flag football athlete. Long before college, I gained valuable tutoring experience by helping my younger siblings with their schoolwork from their Pre-K years through middle and high school. I regularly assisted with reading, writing, math, homework, studying for tests, and developing good academic habits.
One of the most meaningful parts of my experience has been helping my younger sister, who is nonverbal and autistic. Working with her has taught me patience, creativity, and the importance of adapting lessons to meet each student's unique needs. These experiences helped me develop strong communication and teaching skills and inspired my passion for helping students build confidence, overcome challenges, and succeed academically.

My lessons are designed for students in Pre-K through 8th grade and focus on building confidence while making learning engaging and enjoyable. I provide individualized support based on each student’s needs, helping them strengthen foundational skills in math, reading, and problem-solving. My goal is to create a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and reaching their full potential.
