I spend much of my high school experience as a tutor as well as teaching family and friends. Throughout my experience I have encountered many common struggles students have in science and mathematics and different explanations and learning strategies fit for each learning type.

Too often teachers will write out equations on the board giving little insight to what they mean and how they can be used, which is why it can be difficult for students to apply them to problem solving. I will teach the student the concepts behind what they are learning as well as giving them a variety of examples fit for how they learn.
