About Caroline
I am 20 years old, and currently in my Sophomore year of college at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. As mentioned before, I am in one of the top college English programs in the country, and will declare my English major this year. Ever since middle school, I have consistently excelled in my English and Humanities class. I also have experience being tutored, as well as tutoring--during the pandemic, I tutored with School on Wheels, a nonprofit that provided free tutoring for homeless families.

In high school, I had a difficult time with academics. Sometimes all we need is to get through--I will thoroughly look through the rubrics and requirements that teachers set out for the student, and at minimum, help them get their work finished. I also have extensive experience in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and believe that nervous system regulation practices are an important part of ensuring success in academic areas of difficulty. I think finding out what the student's needs and wants for their tutoring experience look like is of the utmost importance when preparing for a lesson plan. A typical session would include a nervous system regulating practice to start off, then work through the topics or subjects that are easiest for the student first, and finish with the more challenging subjects. If the student needs breaks in between, I am more than happy to provide them. My ultimate goal is to create a student-centric environment that ensures their improvement and success!
