About Hiba
I am a senior in high school with a passion for science and mathematics. My most significant accomplishments in high school include being one of the two students from Vermont to attend the International Science and Engineering Fair and the Vermont state winner for the Stockholm Junior Water Prize. In school, I am involved with the Math Leagues, Medical Club, Neuroscience Club, and Community Service Club. I am involved in volunteering with the Red Cross and the Food Shelf. I enjoy serving others in my free time and sharing my passion for service.

These lessons are catered for elementary and middle school aged children. As a student, I recognize how difficult it can be to learn new mathematical concepts. However, after some strategies I used, I am eager to share my passion for mathematics with younger students. I believe it is important for younger math students to gain hands-on experiences while using visuals and images. It is also important to consistently encourage students and let them know how much progress they are making. I hope that as a senior in high school, the students I work with will be less intimidated and in turn, be more eager to improve on their mathematical skills. I believe everyone has the potential to be a mathematician, but it takes time, consistent effort, and a great lesson plan.
