About John
Hi, I’m John. I’m currently studying Space Engineering at the University of Sydney and achieved an ATAR of 96.90 in the HSC, including four Band 6 results.
I offer math and physics tutoring focused on clear explanations, strong problem-solving techniques, and building the kind of understanding that actually helps in exams. Rather than memorizing steps, I focus on breaking problems down so the method makes sense and can be applied to new questions.
My lessons are structured, practical, and tailored to the student’s level, whether they’re trying to improve their fundamentals or push into the top bands. If you’re looking for math tutoring that focuses on results and real understanding, feel free to get in touch

I’ve always been interested in maths and how it’s applied in engineering and space technology.
While studying, I realised that a lot of students struggle with maths not because they aren’t capable, but because the way it’s explained at school often doesn’t make the ideas clear. That’s why I started tutoring. I want to help students actually understand the logic behind the methods they’re learning, rather than just memorising steps for an exam. When the concepts make sense, the harder questions become much more manageable.
My goal is to help students build confidence in maths, improve their results, and develop problem-solving skills that will be useful well beyond the HSC.
