About Rosie
Hi! I'm Rosie and I have just completed my second year at university. I have three years of tutoring experience and I chose to tutor to help students reach their full potential and to inspire them to enjoy their subjects. I believe that anyone can achieve top grades with the right support, encouragement and guidance. I am friendly and supportive and my main goal is to help to reduce stress, improve academic skills and answer as many questions as possible!

Learning a language can be tough, especially when the abundance of vocabulary can feel overwhelming so I like to structure my Spanish lessons mainly through the comprehension practice and exam-style questions, if the student is preparing for exams. In this instance, I focus on developing exam technique to cater to the specifications of each exam board. I cater each lesson to the student, building on the topics we have covered in previous lessons. I also like to spend time on translations, especially those related topics which the student is interested in to spark enthusiasm towards Spanish as a language. I practise speaking, and listening and I share songs and videos with my students so as to indulge in the culture and to take learning outside of the usual classroom structure. During History lessons, I focus on teaching content in a comprehensive way using exam questions to understand the subject as a series of interlinked events. I teach History through discussions and encourage students to focus on thinking about key questions such as cause and consequence, and change and continuity. I teach lessons from 30 minutes to one hour, depending on the learning style of the student and whilst I predominantly teach GCSE and A Level, I welcome students of all ages and levels!
