About Tova

I have a PhD in Spanish Linguistics and 13 years of experience teaching Spanish. My interest in languages began through a fascination with communication, culture, and how people connect through language. Over time, this passion led me to both advanced study and a rewarding teaching career.

My teaching style emphasizes practical communication, flexibility, and student-centered learning. Every learner has unique goals, so I create lessons that match individual needs and interests. Through conversation practice, structured exercises, and cultural discussions, I help students improve fluency while building confidence. Supporting meaningful progress is a central part of my teaching philosophy.

Outside tutoring, I enjoy studying language variation, exploring Hispanic cultures, and reading contemporary Spanish literature. These interests help me bring authentic language experiences into lessons. Teaching Spanish allows me to share my enthusiasm for language while helping students achieve valuable skills. Watching learners become confident communicators is one of the most satisfying aspects of my work.

About the lesson

My Spanish lessons focus on helping learners communicate naturally and confidently in a variety of situations. We work on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, listening skills, speaking practice, reading comprehension, and conversational fluency through interactive activities and real-world examples. I encourage students to actively use Spanish during lessons so they become comfortable expressing themselves. This practical approach supports steady language development.

Each lesson is adapted to match the learner’s goals and current ability. Beginners build a strong foundation through basic conversations, vocabulary, and pronunciation exercises. Intermediate students strengthen fluency, comprehension, and grammatical accuracy through guided practice. Advanced learners focus on complex communication, cultural understanding, and refined expression. Regular feedback helps learners continue progressing effectively.

I believe language learning should feel engaging and meaningful. My lessons provide a welcoming space where students can practice freely and build confidence through experience.
