About Crystal
Teaching Spanish for 13 years has taught me that connecting with you is the most important part of the process. I often work with folks marrying into Latino families who need to bridge that cultural gap quickly.
You might have seen me working with over 472 students ranging from AP candidates to casual learners. My MA from UMass Amherst provides the academic rigor while my time in Denver built my practical approach. This system works for adults who want real usage rather than just testing well. Honestly, seeing students gain the confidence to speak at family dinners is the highlight of my career.

Your initial 60 minutes will focus entirely on mapping out your specific language goals. 1 simple conversation can reveal exactly where your grammatical stumbling blocks are hiding. We will use my 13 years of experience to strip away the confusion of verb conjugations and travel phrases. My degree from UMass Amherst informs the structured way I break down Latin American and Castilian variants for intermediate learners.
Kids and travelers alike find that my focus on role play makes the language feel reachable immediately. You will find that I keep things very grounded in the reality of your daily life. It is rewarding to watch a student move from silence to full sentences. I genuinely enjoy helping you find your voice in a new language.
