About Maria Jose
I'm a sophomore and play basketball regularly, I'm born and raised in Spain with Spanish parents and speak Spanish in my day-to-day life. I can also speak English since I was 5 and I'm now fluent, since I've been living here for 4 months now. Because I am a student myself, I get what it is to be in high school and the stress of what it takes to be struggling in a subject.

I learn from hands-on activities and fun quizzes, so that's how I teach! I will start by conversing for 10-15 mins about their day, week, or interests in Spanish or English (I'll adapt to the student's level). Then I will give some exercises on a unit to improve in vocabulary, phonetics or structure of a sentence, and maybe even a listening exercise. I will give homework, but not too much so the student can focus in other areas as well. My classes can be to lower schoolers, middle schoolers or even high schoolers. I can also help with school-level Spanish and adapt to their material.
