About Mia

My journey with Spanish began over eight years ago, driven by a fascination with the language’s rhythm, nuance, and cultural richness. I have had the privilege of teaching students from different ages and backgrounds, helping them discover both the technical and expressive sides of Spanish. Teaching has shown me that learning a language is more than memorization — it is about developing confidence, curiosity, and the ability to connect with others across cultures. My teaching approach is immersive, empathetic, and student-centered. I combine structured lessons with interactive exercises such as storytelling, cultural discussions, and conversational practice. I focus on fostering confidence, curiosity, and independence, helping students learn to communicate naturally. Mistakes are framed as growth opportunities, and lessons are adapted to each student’s goals — whether academic, professional, or personal. Outside teaching, I explore Hispanic literature, music, and cultural workshops, ensuring lessons remain vibrant and authentic. I aim to inspire students to appreciate Spanish as both a language and a gateway to meaningful cultural understanding, equipping them with skills and confidence that last a lifetime.

About the lesson

Every Spanish lesson is crafted to combine practical language skills with cultural appreciation. Students are encouraged to think, speak, and respond naturally in Spanish from the very first session.
