About Nina

My journey with Spanish began with a passion for language, literature, and cross-cultural understanding. I earned an M.A. in Spanish Linguistics and Hispanic Studies, which provided me with advanced training in language analysis, pedagogy, and cultural exploration. Over the last 10 years, I have worked with learners of varying ages and abilities, supporting them in achieving fluency, accurate expression, and cultural competence. I believe language instruction should be both rigorous and nurturing. Many students feel nervous about speaking or worry about making mistakes, so I create a safe and encouraging environment where learners can practice freely and build confidence. I tailor lesson plans, exercises, and conversation activities to each student’s needs, interests, and goals, fostering an engaging and personalized learning experience. Beyond teaching, I remain actively connected to the Spanish language through literature, media, cultural study, and immersion experiences. Teaching Spanish is deeply rewarding because I witness learners transform from hesitant speakers to confident communicators who can navigate diverse situations with ease. Helping students express themselves fluently, engage meaningfully with the culture, and enjoy the process of learning remains the most fulfilling aspect of my work.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on grammar mastery, pronunciation clarity, vocabulary enrichment, listening comprehension, reading skills, and conversational fluency. I emphasize practical communication, helping students express themselves naturally rather than relying solely on memorization. Lesson content is carefully tailored to the learner’s proficiency. Beginners work on pronunciation, fundamental grammar, essential vocabulary, and simple dialogues. Intermediate learners build fluency, accurate verb usage, listening comprehension, and conversational sophistication. Advanced learners refine idiomatic expressions, professional communication, complex sentence structures, and cultural nuance. Each lesson includes exercises, guided conversation, and constructive feedback to reinforce progress and promote independence.
