About Julie

¡Hola! My name is Julie, and I am a native Spanish speaker from Mexico. I hold a PhD in Biology and work at the University of Waterloo, where I combine my love for science and teaching with my passion for languages and culture. Growing up surrounded by the richness of the natural beauty, culture and traditions from Latin America, I developed a deep appreciation for the Spanish language—not only as a way to communicate, but as a bridge to connect people and ideas. Over the years, I have taught both science and language, helping students build skills with patience, clarity, and encouragement. I welcome you to my virtual class to experience the sounds and the feeling of a new journey through the warmth of a Spanish environment.

About the lesson

I am a native Spanish speaker from Latin America with a PhD and extensive teaching experience at the university level. I offer personalized online Spanish lessons for beginners, intermediate, and advanced learners who want to improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

Whether you are learning Spanish for travel, work, studies, or personal interest, I adapt each lesson to your needs and goals. You will practice real-life conversation, expand your vocabulary, and gain confidence using Spanish in different contexts.

My lessons include:
• Conversational Spanish (everyday situations, fluency, and pronunciation)
• Grammar and vocabulary explained clearly
• Reading and listening comprehension
• Academic and professional Spanish
• Latin American culture and expressions

Methodology:
My classes are interactive and dynamic, with a balance of conversation, grammar, and cultural context. I use authentic materials, exercises, and activities that make learning engaging and practical.
