About Sara
As a Spanish professor for 12 years and now a homeschool mom of three, I have spent many hours teaching. I received my Master of Arts in Hispanic Studies from Villanova University and started teaching at Holy Family University that same year. My experience ranges from face to face classes, to hybrid courses, to developing and teaching asynchronous online courses.

Language comes alive during scenario based lessons that focus on real life applications. My teaching methods provide information and strategies that appeal to all ages, all learning types and all abilities. A typical lesson plan includes vocabulary and grammar concepts that are woven into a real life scenario (ex. grocery shopping, traveling, party planning etc.). Important concepts are explained and then all of the information is put into practice through interactive activities. My teaching philosophy is that every learner is unique and his or her educational journey should reflect that, so if the way the information is presented needs to be changed, all lessons can be customized. Communication is key, and these lessons can accommodate students who are just beginning their Spanish language journey as well as those who are advanced.
