About Maya
Hi! My name is Maya Walker, and I am a high school senior from the Baltimore area. I am an AP student and willing to help students learn to help them with their classes in school. In my free time, I write poetry and short fiction, which is what I plan to pursue in college with an English and Creative Writing major and Spanish minor.

As a student myself, I know a good deal about how Spanish is both taught to students and understood by students. I studied abroad for a summer in Madrid, Spain, so I have some knowledge of how the language is spoken in Hispanic countries, as well. A typical lesson would involve the student showing me what work they need help with and explaining their language abilities to me so I can help them learn for their school Spanish classes. These lessons are for middle school and early high school aged students taking Spanish in school who need assistance with the language.
