About Jennifer
I have been teaching ESL classes to students in elementary and high school for over 15 years. I have energy and commitment to help all students succeed. I prepare lessons that adapt to all abilities. I know how difficult it is to learn a second language and have a lot of patience. I have an in-depth understanding of the nuts and bolts of learning a language. Also have a balance of fun and work and know how to use teaching games, jokes, and fun activities to motivate, teach, and inspire.
I am a native Spanish speaker from Costa Rica and have enjoyed teaching hundreds of students in Fairfield County. I enjoy traveling to many Latin American countries. My classes are always fun and productive. I structure my lessons so students learn what they need to learn to communicate with others and do well in school. I enjoy sharing in the celebration of students successes. I am willing to work on building a strong foundation of grammar, fluency, comprehension and writing, vocabulary, and conversation skills. I offer a balance of fun activities and work so that you can become fluent and have the confidence you need to speak with others in your neighborhood, at school, work or in another country.

My name is Jennifer and I am a Certified Native Spanish Teacher and ESL Teacher for students since 1999. I have experience working with elementary and high school students. I also will work with adults.
Whether you need to speak Spanish in order to find a job or to increase your GMAT score. With me you will learn to speak Spanish quickly and effectively, my classes will be centered on conversations in daily life. They are exciting, flexible and adapt to your needs.
I provide customized classes for students and adults of all experiences and of all proficiency levels, including true beginners. I work with my students to help them meet their personal goals, find their strengths, and improve upon their weaknesses. I have worked with students that have a 504 plan or an IEP in place and they have enjoyed success after working with me. I also have experience with tutoring college students that need to fulfill their language requirement to graduate.
