About Whitney
As a Spanish teacher and tutor, I love working with students and improving not only their Spanish, but building their love and respect for the language and culture. I've tutored at all levels for ages 10-18 mostly, but have worked with college students and adults as well. In addition to teaching and tutoring the language, I run a small business that has online platforms for all students of any age to learn Spanish. Additionally, I've traveled and lived in Spain, Argentina, Uruguay and the Dominican Republic to not only advance my Spanish, but to appreciate some of the communities where it is spoken.

Hi! My name is Whitney and I've been teaching and tutoring Spanish for over 17 years at every level. I have a BA in French and Spanish from Skidmore and a Masters in both Hispanic Literature and Francophone Literature from Middlebury College. I currently teach at The American School in London and am an AP reader. I mostly work with students ages 10-18. I can make time on weekends and after class during for online tutoring or in person if in central London.
My tutoring style is effective and personalised to every student. I enjoy preparing lessons in advance and writing weekly follow-up emails to the parent (if appropriate on this platform, of course). I've had great success with my students and enjoy working one on one with students, building their confidence while deepening their love for the language and culture.
