About Opal
My interest in Spanish developed from cultural studies, travel experiences, and language learning during university education. I completed a Bachelor's Degree in Modern Languages before earning a PhD in Hispanic Language and Culture. Over the last 10 years, I have guided students toward stronger fluency through supportive teaching and practical communication methods.
I enjoy adapting lessons for different personalities, learning styles, and communication goals. Some students improve faster through listening and speaking activities, while others benefit more from grammar explanation and structured writing exercises. My teaching style focuses on patience, encouragement, and natural language development.
Outside teaching, I enjoy reading Latin American literature, studying regional dialects, and participating in language exchange programs. Staying connected to Spanish culture helps me introduce authentic materials into lessons. Teaching Spanish is rewarding because I enjoy helping students communicate clearly and confidently.

My Spanish lessons help students communicate naturally through structured learning and interactive speaking practice. I teach pronunciation, grammar foundations, sentence building, listening comprehension, vocabulary development, and conversational Spanish using practical exercises that make learning clear and enjoyable. Lessons are supportive, engaging, and designed to build communication confidence steadily.
Beginners strengthen their skills through pronunciation drills, repetition practice, and simple guided dialogues that improve understanding step by step. Intermediate learners improve grammar accuracy, listening ability, and conversational flow through roleplays and structured discussions. Advanced students focus on fluent communication, cultural understanding, and more natural expression through deeper language activities.
I encourage students to practice confidently without fear of making mistakes. Lessons focus on practical communication and consistent usage instead of memorization alone. My goal is to help learners become relaxed, expressive, and confident while using Spanish in real-life situations.
