Two years ago, I served a mission for the LDS church in Iquitos which has left me fluent in the language. Often people complimented me on my fluency and some thought I was from there. I have a strong understanding of the language and its grammar and can easily break it down and help others understand how to begin speaking it.

I really like to focus on the grammar and structure of the language more than teaching vocabulary. Don't get me wrong: vocabulary is the building blocks of any language, but the structure and language is the blueprint for speaking and understanding what someone is really saying. I will teach vocabulary but grammar and structure will be my main source.
