About Jessica
I got my undergraduate degree at Oakland University in Michigan in Spanish Language and Literature. I got an MA in Madrid, Spain at the Autonomous University of Madrid.
I started tutoring in Spain while I was studying abroad in 2011 and have been tutoring ever since.
I enjoy finding interesting, authentic resources to use in my lessons.

Spanish
The first step to learning a language is building confidence in using it. I help students be successful by setting aside time in each lesson for us to converse in Spanish. I let them think through what they want to say and encourage them to say it all in Spanish. I assure each student that I am not looking for perfection, it will be messy and that is okay.
A typical lesson entails conversation time, reading, and seeing grammar in context using authentic resources.
My lessons are for beginners to advanced students.
