About Ashley
Hello! My name is Ashley and I have been a Spanish teacher for 15 years. I developed my love of Spanish language and culture at Ohio State University where I received my Bachelor of the Arts in Spanish with a double major in International Studies, emphasizing Western Europe.
Apart from teaching Spanish, I love photography and traveling! I would love to visit as many countries as possible, of course, starting with Spanish-speaking countries! I also love to cook and bake, and enjoy trying out new recipes each week. In our house, we love Disney and pit bulls. Our rescue dog, Melon is the perfect addition to our family. When not busy with family fun, I enjoy quilting and learning new skills!

I use a student-focused methodology to help enhance your skills. Lots of instruction in the target language and integrating Organic World Language principles. My teaching style is catered to the individual needs of the student and I adjust as I work with each individual. Questions are welcome during lessons and trying to use the language is encouraged!
My lessons will start with an intro to vocabulary and the use of grammar through applicable constructs. If the student requests specific help, I will adjust my lesson to assist where needed.
What sets me apart from other tutors and teachers is my emphasis on the individual. I want a worry-free class where students are not discouraged from trying new language abilities as we learn. Confidence is key and my passion is to help those find confidence within their proficiency and fluency!
