About Anneliese
I began learning Spanish in middle school, and my passion for the language and Spanish-speaking cultures grew throughout high school. I continued studying independently, even during summers, because I enjoyed it so much. My experience includes traveling to Costa Rica, where I put my Spanish skills into practice and connected with locals. I’ve also used Spanish in real-world settings while working in the fast food industry, assisting Spanish-speaking customers. As a dedicated student at GVSU with aspirations to become a high school Spanish teacher, I’m committed to helping others learn the language in a fun and engaging way.

As a Spanish tutor, I focus on making language learning both fun and accessible. I like to teach grammar and vocabulary through engaging activities, like using memes, videos from native speakers (I'm a fan of "31 Minutos" for funny clips), and interactive games to make concepts stick. My lessons are tailored to meet each student's unique needs, whether they need help mastering tricky grammar rules or expanding their vocabulary. I aim to simplify complex topics, ensuring students feel confident in asking questions. I work best with middle school, high school, and beginning undergraduate students, offering a relaxed, supportive environment to help them excel in their Spanish courses.
