About Lashon
¡Hola! I'm Lashon, a Spanish tutor in Cleveland, Ohio. I taught myself Spanish as an adult — no classes, no teacher — and today I speak it fluently. I have also tutored Spanish online before, helping a student build real speaking confidence lesson by lesson. Because I learned the language on my own, I know which parts feel hard and how to get past them. My Spanish is the strongest of the languages I have studied — I also speak French and am currently learning Mandarin Chinese.

My lessons focus on conversation first: real, everyday Spanish you will actually use — introductions, travel, food, work, and daily life — with grammar taught as we go, in plain language. Conversation first, grammar in plain language as we go. Patient, judgment-free, at the student's pace. Beginners welcome. Because I taught myself Spanish as an adult, I know which parts feel hard and how to get past them. A typical lesson starts with speaking practice right away — short dialogues, useful phrases, and guided conversation — then we build grammar naturally around what you need. Whether you are starting from zero, brushing up for a trip, or want to finally speak instead of just studying, we will build at your pace. Lessons are available online by video call or in person in the Cleveland area.
