About Javier
Native speaker. Born and raised in Cuba. A vast professional experience teaching Spanish to non Spanish speakers and to Spanish speakers who need to brush up their native language that were either born in a Spanish speaking country but where brought to the US when they were very little or that where born in the US but Spanish is their mother tongue. Detailed oriented and interesting to make my language students progress in the language and be able to communicate and understand it taking care of all language skills needed.

Teaching method: by immersion
A typical lesson plan depends on the level of the students.
I have had very good reviews from my students in the past and in the present.
I have also taught special courses in Spanish like Higher Grammar, Listening Comprehension, Idiomatic Phrases.
I have also been running a Book Club in Stamford, Connecticut for over 5 years.
As explained earlier, I have taught Spanish at all levels, except for children, at Cervantes Institute and Hunter College Continuing Education.
