About Kaitlin
As a 2017 graduate from Randolph-Macon College, I studied Spanish as a minor and often tutored fellow students during my career. Since September 2017 I have been living in Galicia, Spain as an English teacher and tutor in a public school (ages 3-14) and locals' homes (ages 12-17, 30s). Living in Spain has given me a variety of insights on different cultures and how Spanish changes among different native speakers.

Since my college career (English major; Spanish and Religious Studies double minor), I have been pursuing a translation career in English and Spanish. For me, studying Spanish is more than just looking at linguistic aspects (although linguistics is my favorite subject)--I love Spanish in all forms (cultural diversity, phonetics, you name it). What I base my classes in depends on the passions, strengths, and weaknesses of the student, for I like to combine all three aspects in classes. I like to recognize a student's strengths in order to encourage learning more, but I also realize that weaknesses should be addressed with patience and understanding; well all struggle somewhere. I have experience in teaching students of all ages but prefer that the student have at least a basic level already established.

My rates do vary depending on the level of the student and the difficulty of the material studied. For example, simply covering vocabulary or conversation will cost less. I am willing to discuss prices.
