About McKenna
I am an elementary teacher with a masters in education. I have been a teacher for 4 years. I lived in Puerto Rico when I was younger for 4 years and that is when I started learning Spanish. When I moved back to the states, I continued taking Spanish classes up until first year of college. Now I am working in a Bilingual Charter School with 95% of my students being Spanish speakers. I love this language and the culture and want to show others the fun of learning a different language!

I love to create fun and engaging lessons that help your brain make connections easier. I know different strategies to remember vocabulary because I've learned Spanish myself. I start off with warm ups and review, then introduce new concepts using an I do, We do, You do approach and always try to squeeze in an engaging activity.
My lesson would be for beginners who want to begin learning Spanish and the structure. I would be teaching basic vocabulary that would help you when traveling to different Spanish speaking countries.
