About Jay
Spending 13 years teaching languages has taught me that fluency is not just about memorizing verb charts. I hold an Artist Diploma from the Manhattan School of Music and bring that same creative discipline to my language coaching.
I work with 428 students on conversational fluency, travel Spanish, exam preparation for the DELE, and complex grammar. My teaching covers idioms, reading comprehension, pronunciation, business Spanish, and writing skills. Results happen through consistent PRACTICE and clear COMMUNICATION.

Fluency arrives much faster when you stop trying to translate every single word in your head before speaking. I use a diagnostic level test before we build the plan to ensure we target your specific gaps immediately. My background as a musician informs how I teach the cadence and rhythm of Spanish, allowing me to provide a 9.0 rated experience for all my pupils. We examine your writing skills and reading comprehension through real world materials rather than just dry textbooks.
Because I hold an Artist Diploma, I bring a unique perspective on how to hear and reproduce foreign sounds accurately. You will gain confidence through consistent practice and a clear understanding of how the language flows naturally.
I provide detailed feedback on every aspect of your grammar and syntax during our time together. Achieving your goals is my primary focus for every session we share. Language learning is a journey I am prepared to lead.
