About Work
Hi, I'm Amitha, a passionate primary teacher who genuinely enjoys helping children discover that math can be understood, enjoyed, and even loved.
Over the years, I've worked with children of different abilities and learning styles, and one thing I've learned is that every child can succeed when they are taught in a way that makes sense to them. That's why I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every lesson I teach is carefully planned around each child's strengths, challenges, and learning pace.
I believe that learning should be a positive experience. I create a calm, encouraging environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating every small success. My aim is not only to improve their math skills but also to help them become confident, independent learners who believe in their own abilities.
Nothing is more rewarding than seeing a child who once said, "I can't do math," begin to solve problems with confidence and a smile. Being part of that journey is why I love teaching.
