About Karl J-G
Using symbols as well as imageries often suggesting the extremes of wealth and poverty. My work confronts emotionally charged first- and third-world class issues via theoretical texts and compelling images, depictions of power plays directly invoking the contemporary art scene itself in his assemblage and mixed-media sculpture and painting.
The work issues demands for a new reading of gods and commoners, hope and despair, faith and mistrust.

In this course, participants will make use of different materials
including paper, cardboard, found objects, cloth, wood, photography, images from newsprint, photocopies, found/clip art, media culture, etc., to a well-crafted visual language of collages, assemblages, installation, and print editions.
The aim of this course is to introduce participants to homemade studio
experimental printmaking techniques used as a vehicle to visualize and communicate ideas.
Through history, many artists have used printmaking as a tool for social change, cultural expressions.
In this course, we will explore and discuss contemporary topics and ideas on how images influence culture or individuals influencing the way we see the world through these images.
