About Thi
I was born in Vietnam and came to Australia when I was one year old. Growing up in a Vietnamese-speaking household, I have been immersed in the language and culture from an early age. I also attended Vietnamese community language school as a child, which further strengthened my reading, writing, and communication skills.
As someone who has grown up between two cultures, I understand both the challenges and rewards of learning and maintaining a language. I would love to share my knowledge, experience, and passion for the Vietnamese language with you, and help you build the confidence and skills needed to achieve your learning goals.

I specialise in helping adult learners improve their Vietnamese reading, speaking, and pronunciation skills. Vietnamese is a tonal language, and many learners find pronunciation and tones to be the most challenging aspects of speaking confidently. My goal is to help you overcome these phonetic hurdles so you can communicate clearly, naturally, and with confidence.
My lessons use proven, structured techniques to support effective learning and long-term progress. These include minimal pairs to help train your ear to recognise subtle sound differences, phonics-based strategies to break down words into sounds and syllables for improved reading fluency, and auditory feedback through guided listening, repetition, and correction of tones and vowel sounds.
I provide a relaxed, supportive, and encouraging learning environment where mistakes are part of the learning process. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to refine your pronunciation, I will help you develop the skills and confidence to speak Vietnamese with greater ease and accuracy.
