About Fevzi

I am a native speaker of Turkish. English is my second language. I have a bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpretation, Eng x Tur. I worked as a translator for a couple of years.

I have a master's degree in Educational Leadership and Assessment. I am currently a doctoral student in Language Teaching. I have a lot of experience in one-to-one tutoring. I teach Turkish to English speakers, also English to Turkish people. I have academic articles, related to language teaching and acquisition, published in academic journals.

I have been working in this field for a long time. I helped many people achieve their language goals, which makes me very happy. I like making a difference in people’s lives and making new friends from different cultures.

I can work with people from all walks of life. Just tell me what you want to achieve about Turkish and I come up with a road map. If you like it, we can give it a start.

I live in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. You can ONLY have ONLINE LESSONS with me. My lessons are designed for the online medium.

About the lesson

I am a big follower of the Natural Approach. I structure my lessons based on the principles of language acquisition. I help the learner acquire the language through practice. I figure out a road map according to your needs as regards the Turkish Language. We can go far beyond. I have what it takes to get this job done.

I generally use stories and daily conversations to practice the language with the learner. We practice the commonly used expressions. In my lesson, the learner speaks Turkish and I give him\her immediate feedback.

My motto is practice makes perfect. The brain acquires the language through a lot of practice. My techniques in the lessons are quite similar to those of First Language Acquisition. I don't teach much, I help the learner acquire the language. I am just the facilitator.

Listening supported with reading gives birth to speaking.
