About Pamela
Hi! I'm Pamela and I am a Special Education Teacher. I've been teaching for 18 years. I have experience teaching middle and elementary school. I was born in Colorado but raised in Virginia.
I am TEFL certified and have worked as an online ESL teacher. I have a bachelors degree in Mass Communications and a Maters degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am also a Reading Specialist.
I enjoy working with students from different backgrounds. I especially enjoy working with elementary students and adults.
My goal is to help you improve your reading skills or master a new language.

As your tutor for reading, we will read interesting and engaging texts that will help you foster a love for reading. I'll help you interact with the text so that it is enjoyable and you'll forget that its also work.
As your ESL tutor, we will practice English by speaking, reading, and writing in English. We will have conversations, talk about things that interest you, and explore topics of interest to you, all while holding a casual conversation just as you would in your native language.
