About Louie
I am a Special Education Teacher with 10 years in the classroom working with students of all ages, cultures, and abilities. Most recently, I have had the opportunity to work with students with severe behavior issues and have focused on behavior interventions and support for these students. I have a passionate educational philosophy centered on providing every child a quality education regardless of their background, recognizing that each has not only the right to that learning experience but also possesses the ability to learn and grow. I have extensive experience working with students who have particular learning challenges stemming from disabilities such as:
● Autism
● Emotional Disturbance
● Fetal Alcohol Spectrum
● Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD)
● Developmental Delay
● Oppositional Defiance
● Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
I have become proficient in Special Education best practices focused on meeting the needs of all students. These areas include:

● Behavior Intervention Plans
● Microsoft Office
● Web Applications
I possess a Master’s degree in Teaching as well as a Masters in Special Education. I am currently pursing my Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership. I am a strong advocate of lifelong learning and believe no one should be excluded from this journey.
