About Christie

I am currently employed within a large school district as a special educator.Over the past 5 years, I have operated a small tutoring company during the week and on weekends. I specialize in working with students who have learning differences and exceptionalities. I look forward to helping every student learn and grow.

About the lesson

I specialize in the Orton Gillingham Curriculum. I make my lessons fun and interactive, my students learn and they have fun while they are learning.The Orton-Gillingham Approach is a direct, explicit, multisensory, structured, sequential, diagnostic, and prescriptive way to teach literacy when reading, writing, and spelling does not come easily to individuals, such as those with dyslexia. It is most properly understood and practiced as an approach, not a method, program, or system. It is a powerful tool of exceptional breadth, depth, and flexibility.
