About Stephen
I am a seasoned teacher of special needs, almost completing my postgraduate studies in Special needs and inclusive education.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Special Needs Nd Inclusive Education with I.T from Maseno university.
I have handled learners with and without disability for the four years I have been in this profession.
I am specialized in teaching learners with learning difficulties like dyslexia, dyscalculia and dysgraphia. I have had a vast experience teaching learners with autism, hearing impairment, cerebral palsy, Down's syndrome and mixed disability.
I am trained to do speech development therapies for learners who have had delays in speech acquisition.
I equally help with homework and assignments.
I am skilled to teach from the lowest level KG to senior school in Cambridge system, CBC from PP1 to Bachelor's level.
I am a principled professional who believes in delivering quality learning services to your child not just as a professional but as compassionate parent.
I adopt a specific tool called Individualized education program for my students, that involves assessment of the students strengths and weaknesses, then use the strengths to address the academic and social weaknesses.

I believe that, as a good teacher, one should allow their learners set the pace of learning. You don't just go at your pace even when your learners aren't understanding anything. Teaching should be learner centered. I always allow them to connect what they already know with the new content I'd want to introduce, and this is always possible when I ask them questions and let them lead the way. Discussion is my o other method of teaching. I believe once you allow a student discuss be it with their fellow students or with you, it sticks into their mind and they are never going to forget.
