About Qian Yi

Hello everyone! I am a Chinese language teacher dedicated to spreading Chinese language and culture. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Xiamen University. This solid academic foundation has given me a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the language's structure, literary context, and cultural essence. Currently, I am pursuing a master's degree at Fudan University, specializing in the preservation and restoration of ancient books. This academic journey has not only broadened my knowledge but also allows me to teach Chinese from a wider cultural perspective, making lessons richer and more engaging. I have extensive practical experience in teaching. I have worked as both a Chinese language teacher for foreigners and a piano teacher, which has taught me the importance of tailoring my approach to each student's unique needs. My teaching philosophy is "student-centered and interest-driven." I believe that when learners develop a genuine interest in a language, their learning efficiency is maximized. My teaching style emphasizes interactivity and fun. I love to use teaching tools like PowerPoint, Kahoot, and Quizlet to create a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment where you can master the language with a smile. At the same time, I am also dedicated to cultivating your ability to learn independently, encouraging you to actively participate in class discussions and express yourself with confidence. About the lesson

I worked as a part-time Chinese language teacher and a piano teacher before. I am dedicated to ensuring high-quality education and effective learning outcomes. My teaching philosophy is “student-centered and interest-driven.” I believe that a student’s genuine interest is the key to truly effective learning.

My teaching style is interactive and engaging. I focus on fostering students’ self-learning abilities by encouraging them to actively participate in class discussions and practical activities. I am proficient in using teaching software like PowerPoint, Kahoot, and Quizlet to make classes more interactive and efficient.

A standard lesson is designed to be dynamic and engaging, following a clear structure to ensure all learning objectives are met. We start with a quick review of the previous lesson, then introduce new content (vocabulary, grammar points etc.). Students apply the new knowledge through various activities, such as role-playing, or short writing exercises. Meanwhile, I provide real-time feedback to correct pronunciation and usage. We close the lesson with a fun quiz or game to reinforce the key takeaways.

My lessons are designed for a wide range of students (beginners, intermediate, advanced), and I can tailor my approach to fit your specific goals.
