About Colleen
I am a professional flutist with over ten years of teaching experience. I am the Piccolo/Second Flute with both the Spokane Symphony and the Boise Philharmonic. I have a Master of Music in Flute Performance from Boston University and a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from the University of Washington.

I teach flute students of all ages and levels. Lessons are one-on-one and personalized to each individual. If you want to improve your skills for an audition, performance, or for your own enjoyment, I can help you! All students will learn proper breath control, develop a beautiful sound, and excellent technique. Flute lessons will strengthen your music reading and rhythm. You'll learn basic music history and discover the vast catalogue of music written for the flute. I hope to help all of my students develop a strong foundation in flute fundamentals so that they can pursue any musical goal and have a rich experience of music long after flute lessons end.
