About Chelsea
Hi! I’m a homeschool mom of four living in Spring Grove, IL, with a passion for music and teaching. I have a music minor, an Elementary Education degree, and over 15 years of violin teaching experience using both Suzuki and traditional methods.
After teaching for more than 10 years, I took a break from private lessons to focus on raising and homeschooling my children while they were young. Now, I’m excited to be growing my studio again and sharing the joy of music with a new generation of students.
I love creating a warm, encouraging environment where students can grow in confidence, musical skill, and creativity. Whether your child is brand new to violin or continuing their musical journey, I strive to make lessons engaging, flexible, and tailored to each student’s needs.

Chelsea has been teaching my daughter for around 2 years. She has balanced teaching from the lesson books with learning extra songs that interest my daughter- this has helped my daughter stay interested in progressing. Chelsea is very patient and is great with correction without feeling "strict". I highly recommend Chelsea to anyone who is interested in violin!
