About Javon

What sets me apart is my real-world experience as an actor, playwright, director, producer, filmmaker and mentor. My teaching is grounded not only in technique, but in years of hands-on experience developing productions, directing performers, writing stories, and working within professional creative environments. I understand both the artistic and professional demands of the entertainment industry and help students become stronger, more confident performers with authentic creative voices.

My lessons are designed for beginners, intermediate actors, advanced performers, theater students, film actors, and creatives preparing for auditions, showcases, performances, or professional opportunities. Lessons can be tailored for children, teens, college students, and adults based on their experience level, goals, and individual learning style.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching acting is rooted in truth, instinct, emotional connection, and professional discipline. I believe great acting is not about pretending — it is about fully understanding human behavior, relationships, vulnerability, and storytelling. Whether a student is pursuing acting professionally or simply looking to build confidence and creativity, I create a supportive but challenging environment that pushes each actor to grow authentically.

My teaching method combines scene study, character analysis, improvisation, emotional accessibility exercises, script breakdown, audition preparation, and on-camera technique. I help students develop a deeper understanding of character motivation, emotional stakes, subtext, and truthful listening. I also focus heavily on helping actors break unhealthy performance habits and become more grounded, natural, and emotionally available in their work.

A typical lesson may include:
-Warm-up and presence exercises
-Improvisation and instinct-building activities
-Script and character analysis
-Scene work with live coaching and adjustments
-Audition technique and self-tape preparation
-Confidence building and emotional truth exercises
-Industry insight for professional actors pursuing film, television, and theater opportunities
