About Maja

I am a dedicated Guitar tutor with more than 10 years of experience teaching college students. My goal is to make guitar learning enjoyable, clear, and effective.

My teaching style is calm, patient, and student-focused. I adjust lessons based on each student’s level and musical interest. This helps students learn comfortably and build confidence.

I use innovative methods such as song-based lessons, structured practice routines, and rhythm-focused exercises. Students learn chords, strumming, fingerstyle, and scales while playing real music. I also introduce timing and ear training exercises.

Music theory is taught in a practical way so students understand how it works on the guitar. I encourage creative learning through improvisation and simple songwriting.

I believe a positive learning environment helps students grow faster. I support students with clear feedback and motivation. My aim is to help college students enjoy guitar learning and develop strong musical skills.

About the lesson

I teach Guitar with an emphasis on creativity, mentorship, critical thinking, and accountability. I want students to enjoy music while building skill and confidence. My lessons focus on exploring different styles, improvising, composing, and finding each student’s unique musical voice.

Critical thinking is central to my approach. I teach students to understand song structures, chord progressions, and scales so they can analyse, improvise, and solve musical challenges independently.

I promote accountability by helping students set achievable goals, practise consistently, and reflect on progress. Feedback and encouragement help students stay motivated and confident in their learning.

Along with Guitar, I teach music theory, ear training, performance skills, and songwriting. Lessons are flexible and personalised to the student’s level, pace, and interests.

I aim to mentor students into becoming confident, independent, and creative musicians who can play, compose, and enjoy music for a lifetime.
