About Eid
I’m an international student from Syria, and Arabic is my native language. I studied formal Arabic throughout all 12 years of school, while also growing up using everyday dialect in daily life, so I’m comfortable with both. This gives me a strong and natural understanding of how the language is actually used in different contexts.
Moving to the U.S. and studying at Stanford has also helped me see language learning from the other side, so I understand what it feels like to adapt to a new language and culture. I enjoy working with people and helping them build confidence, especially in speaking. I’m patient, easy to talk to, and I try to make conversations feel natural rather than stressful. I’m excited to help students practice Arabic in a way that feels practical and comfortable.

I start by understanding the student’s level and how comfortable they are speaking Arabic, not just what they know but how they use it. Then I meet them there through simple conversation and everyday topics. I focus on building flow and confidence first, then give light corrections. I’ll ask them to respond, explain, or reuse phrases to make sure it actually sticks.
