About Stanford PhD

I tutor in the areas of Applied Statistics, Theoretical Statistics, Biostatistics, Econometrics, Probability Theory, Stochastic Processes, Quantitative Finance, MBA Finance, Actuarial Science and Optimization. I hold a PhD degree in Statistics and a PhD Minor in Finance from Stanford University. I have worked in the industry for 11+ years, focusing on projects pertaining to machine learning, time series analysis, volatility modeling, asset pricing, risk management and so on. Equally importantly, I have 10+ years of teaching / tutoring / consulting experience. I have worked with students, researchers, business professionals and companies in the fields of Marketing, Medicine, Biology, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Engineering, Economics and Finance. Have taught more than 10 undergraduate, master's level and PhD level courses at Stanford over a period of 5 years. Proficient in all major statistical software packages: R / R Studio, Stata, Matlab, SPSS + AMOS, SAS, JMP, EViews, Minitab, Python, Microsoft Excel.

About the lesson

I help with assignments, exams, presentations, dissertations, advanced research, experimental design, systems development, business related projects, literature review and general understanding of the material. Two types of service are offered:

1] Tutoring sessions via S K Y P E (allows videoconferencing & screen sharing) and/or phone (hourly rate).

The base rate corresponds to college level statistics and probability. More advanced material is likely to cost more. These are the

_______ RULES: 1] If you need a consultation on the hourly basis, then send me a tentative list of topics or a syllabus. I will then give you the corresponding hourly rate. A typical session lasts at least 2 hours.

2] If you need me to do a project for you, send me a 2-3 paragraph description. If the project requires empirical analysis, send me a sample of the data, so that I could see the format. I will then give you a flat price for producing a detailed solution, including conclusions as a Word doc.

3] All work is done AFTER you have paid via PayPal. Under special circumstances, checks and money transfers may be acceptable. No cash.
