I teach logic building first, laying a strong foundation before diving into coding.
For example, when teaching Dynamic Programming, many jump straight into coding a complex NxN matrix with confusing operations.
What I do differently:
Start by teaching recursion to solve the problem.
Transition that into memoization for optimization.
Finally, with a simple tweak, transform it into dynamic programming effortlessly.
