While I am new to tutoring, I am not new to childcare or education. My approach to explaining topics is to get into the student's brain, truly understand where the student is in the learning process, and explain from there.
I use compassion, kindness, and empathy to understand the past way to teach students.
I am a recent graduate from Columbia Engineering's Master's in Operations Research program. I moved out to Seattle last January and I have been nannying for the past year. I recently started working as a part time analyst at a software startup here in the city. I love kids, math, and teaching and I am passionate about sharing my love of STEM with future engineers! My undergrad degree is in math, psych, and computer science, and I have teaching assistant experience in both a first grade classroom and college-level introduction to computer science class.
