About Samantha

Hi, my name is Samantha. I am a certified elementary reading and special education teacher in the state of Maryland. I have worked with children in various educational capacities, including inclusion, self-contained, and resource settings. I specialize in tutoring children in grades K-6. I have experience working with multiple learning disabilities, including but not limited to Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Auditory processing disorder, language processing disorder, Nonverbal learning disabilities, and general learning needs.

About the lesson

I create custom tutoring plans to support the specific curriculum challenges for each student I work with. I prioritize keeping each student thoroughly engaged for the entire session we spend together. I do not use a one size fits all approach because students face different learning challenges. Each student resonates differently with how they will best absorb the knowledge gained while working with me.
