I have 2 years of teaching experience at the university level and 3 years of work experience as a research assistant analyzing French documents from Burgundy, France. I am passionate about cultural competency, language proficiency, psychology and French literature. In my free time, I love to read Jane Austen novels and paint! :)

Bonjour tout le monde ! I am a French tutor who can help with French coursework at any level and with any course. I am particularly passionate about helping students obtain conversational proficiency and literacy in French. My tutoring sessions usually follow an input-to-output style, where I first help to explain a new concept, and then we practice applying it. I prefer to contextualize topics with authentic French materials (videos, French articles, song lyrics, etc.) and avoid mechanical practices as much as possible.
I am a very encouraging & kind teacher, as I know how hard it can be to learn a new language! I am very fond of practicing spoken French with students and sparking student interest in literature. I am pursuing my Ph.D. in French Literature at UVA in 2024, and currently hold an M.A. in French from NCSU. I would love to have you as a student! :)
