About Katherine

As a dedicated student, athlete, coach, and tutor, I understand that every student learns differently. I create individualized lessons tailored to each student’s learning style, strengths, and academic goals to ensure they receive the support they need to succeed. Having been both a tutor and a student who has needed tutoring in challenging subjects, I understand how intimidating it can feel to ask for help or struggle with a concept that seems to come easily to others. Seeing learning from both perspectives has made me a more patient, understanding, and effective tutor. My experience balancing rigorous coursework, leadership roles, and mentoring younger students has strengthened my communication and teaching skills. I strive to create a professional, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence. By breaking down difficult concepts into manageable steps and adapting my teaching methods to each student, I help them develop not only a stronger understanding of the material but also the confidence and independence needed for long-term academic success.
