About Nina
I am studying for a M.Sc. in Data Science at EPFL in Switzerland and before that I did a Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science. I attended the lectures "Statistics I", "Statistics II", "Analysis I", "Linear Algebra I", "Probability Theory", "Mathematical Statistics", "Programming in R", "Statistics and Data Analysis" and "Bayesian Data Analysis", so I can help you especially in these subjects. I am an enthusiastic R programmer, but I also know the basics in SPSS. During my Bachelor's degree, I was a tutor in the field of statistics, mathematics and computer science, and I've been teaching math and statistics in addition to the university since 3 years. I now live in Switzerland, so I can only offer tutoring online (e.g. Skype).

So far I have mainly taught Bachelor and Master students who take lectures like "Statistics I", "Statistics II" or "Probability Theory" at their university and have difficulties with understanding, or students who do data analysis for their Bachelor-/Master thesis and encounter difficulties with programming in R. Most of the time, the students want me to prepare the lectures and explain the most important concepts at the beginning of the tutoring. Then we calculate exercises or work on their exercise sheets together.
If the exam is due in the near future, I can also do a crash course in statistics, and then I will specifically learn possible exam tasks with the students.
As far as your tuition is concerned, I am very flexible and would be happy to work with you to tailor your program to your goals.

Nina ist eine sehr geduldige Lehrerin, die einem schwierige Konzepte durch kluge Beispiele erklären kann. Auch wenn man zehnmal die gleiche Frage stellt, erklärt sie ein Thema so lange bis man es komplett verstanden hat. Ihre ruhige Art ist sehr angenehm und man fühlt sich wohl in ihrer Nachhilfestunde. Ich kann Nina jedem empfehlen, der Schwierigkeiten hat in der Schule etwas zu verstehen, denn sie wird es einfach und effizient verständlich machen.
Ich kenne Nina aus dem Studium, wo sie eine der besten war. Über ihren ganzen Bachelor hatte sie sowohl Nachhilfe in Gruppen, als auch für einzelene Personen angeboten. Sie ist schon ein wenig bekannt in unserem Jahrgang für ihre Lehrkünste :)
