About Milagros
Hello! My name is Milagros but I go by Mili. I recently graduated with a BSc with specialization in Statistics at the University of Alberta and I have been tutoring students in different areas of statistics including probability, ANOVA, Data Analysis, Sampling distributions, to the programming language R.
I first started learning statistics in high school when I enrolled in an AP stats class, and over the years I have continued learning the subject. Statistics is not easy, especially when learning the subject for the first time, but I am here to help.

Before tutoring lessons, I like to know the student's learning style, their experience with the subject, as well as topics and problems they would like for me to cover during the lessons. Based on this information, I create a set of notes and a lesson plan for each lesson. The lesson plan outlines the topics I will cover during the lesson, points to highlight, any solution I create for any provided problem we cover during the session, and a road map of the lesson. I also create a set of notes for the student which they can use for reviews or as reference. During sessions, I use the notes to highlight the main points and as a reference when going over with the student on how to solve the problems planned for the lesson.
Lessons in AP statistics and first-year statistics courses are similar, but I cover more content when teaching first-year university students. For students in higher-level statistics courses, I tailor the lessons based on the class content.
