About Gabrielle
I am happy to have been providing tutor support to hundreds of students for 5+ years now, and primarily in math. I view tutoring as a way to connect more with one's learning, bring clarity to and empower the student. I'm always eager to find ways to deliver math content in the most thoughtful, exciting way that best resonates with the student. Moreover, I enjoy learning from students as well, which is a great reminder that even experts are still learners in life. As a lifelong learner, I create and learn from the different spaces to grow for the betterment of ourselves and our communities. I am currently a doctoral student in STEM Education at the University of Southern Mississippi. Before embarking on this PhD journey, I completed an Honors Associate of Science degree from Lone Star College, followed by my Bachelor of Science in Human Development & Family Studies (with a minor in Biology) at the University of Houston. I am honored to be an ally and guiding light in your learning endeavors, and I hope you find solace, clarity, and confidence in our sessions.

The students I work with see and understand that I am a math ally and guide in their learning journey. Even though the common need is help with content, I am also focused on helping and advocating for the student's thinking process and confidence in themselves to work with the content. I'm there to remind students that they are totally capable of comprehending and utilizing the different math concepts that they encounter. I am happy to support their growth in knowing how to speak the language of math and recognize even more that they can have a positive, stronger relationship with it. So I take a student-focused, empathetic, and inquiry-based approach to my sessions, and I look to empower every person I work with.
