About Renato

I am a lifelong learner with a genuine passion for knowledge. My interests span history, science, music, sports, culture, and—of course—food. I am fluent in Spanish and English and have a working proficiency in German. As a highly social and approachable person, I enjoy building meaningful, long-lasting connections with my students. My lessons go beyond delivering the knowledge you need; they are engaging, personalized, and enriched with topics that truly spark your interest.

About the lesson

I am a STEM and SAT specialist with over 7 years of experience in personalized one-on-one tutoring, helping students build confidence, master concepts, and achieve outstanding results. With an academic background in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, I bring strong technical expertise to subjects such as math, physics, and science—explaining even complex topics in a clear and approachable way.

What truly sets me apart is my passion for teaching. I design fully customized lessons tailored to each student’s goals, learning style, and pace, ensuring steady progress and genuine understanding rather than rote memorization.

I also served as a full-time AP Physics and Precalculus teacher at Menor High School in Ecuador, where I taught 234 students across grades 10, 11, and 12. In this role, I refined my classroom management, organization, and communication skills while working with students at different academic levels. During my tenure, AP Physics scores rose above the global average, and my students achieved the highest success rate in the school’s history (over 40%). Regarding my SAT preparation classes, the lessons proved to be good enough to get two of my students into two Ivy League universities.

Beyond academic results, this experience strengthened my patience, empathy, and ability to connect with students, creating a supportive and motivating learning environment. My goal is not only to help students excel in exams, but also to help them develop confidence, curiosity, and a lasting understanding of STEM subjects.
